New England Elite 75 Showcase – Event Preview

The third annual New England Elite 75 Showcase will take place on Thursday at Boston University’s Case Gymnasium.  As usual, the event will welcome the best home grown products the region has to offer.

In the last two years the New England Elite 75 Showcase has established itself as the region’s premier showcase.  The invitation only field welcomes the best players from all six New England states.  This year’s roster will include the likes of Erik Murphy, Alex Oriakhi, Jamal Coombs, Mike Marra, Jordan Williams, Carson Desrosiers, Evan Smotrycz, Thomas Knight, and many others. 

Registration will begin at 3pm with the basketball beginning at 4pm with an hour of position based skill instruction.  As usual, a first rate coaching staff will be on hand to offer the best instruction possible.  Northfield Mount Hermon’s John Carroll, New Hampton’s Peter Hutchins, Windsor High School’s Ken Smith, Worcester Academy’s Jamie Sullivan, Vermont’s Kevin Cieplicki, Proctor Academy’s Gregor Makechnie, former NBA player Jay Murphy and longtime division I coach Mike Kelly headline the coaching staff.  

Games will begin just after 5pm as the participants look to impress the wide range of media outlets in attendance.  A small sample of those who have already committed to attend include:  Tom Konchalski and the HSBI Report, ESPN.com, Scout.com, Hoop Scoop Online, Hoopville.net, and of course the New England Recruiting Report.
