The Tilton School announced late last week that their talented guard, Dominic Scurry, had been offered and accepted a scholarship offer from the New York Institute of Technology.

TILTON, NH – Tilton School’s Dominic Scurry of Brooklyn, NY, signed a National Letter of Intent for a full basketball scholarship to Division II, the New York Institute of Technology on May 6th, 2008.

Dominic is a post graduate student at the Tilton School. The lanky guard enrolled at Tilton after being discovered at a basketball camp following his senior year. A hard worker, Dominic was a standout defender and excellent point guard who helped Tilton to a 21-9 record including the New England Class B championship. After generating interest from many college coaches, Dominic decided on Coach Lagano and NYIT, where his father is a member of their athletic hall of fame.

Basketball coach, Marcus O’Neil said, “Dominic has a superior work ethic and is a very talented athlete.  His improvement as a player this season was a decisive factor in our team’s success.  Coach Lagano will be working with a quality young man for the next four years.”
