New England Recruiting Report

Crusaders' staff returns to old stomping grounds to land first commitment in the class of 2013.

Holy Cross landed their first commitment in the class of 2013 on Tuesday when Anthony Thompson, a five-foot-ten point guard from Bullis High School in Maryland committed to head coach Milan Brown.

Thompson's commitment is the latest example of Brown's continued presence in his hometown region as the former Mount St. Mary's head coach has now landing six commitments from the greater Washington D.C. area since arriving at Holy Cross, including this year's Patriot League Rookie of the Year Justin Burrell.

Thompson figures to have two years to learn under Burrell as his understudy before taking the reigns of the program as a junior.  This year at Bullis he averaged 12 points and 4.4 assists while attracting early attention from the likes of Harvard, Cornell, Robert Morris, St. Francis PA, and Jacksonville.
