Fairfield University picked up their third verbal commitment on Monday night and second from the state of Florida.

Keith Matthews, a six-foot-five wing player from Sebastian River High School in Florida, made a verbal commitment to Fairfield on Monday night.

Matthews is a wing player with good athleticism and a strong 205 pound frame.  He is best known as an inside-out threat who can power up through contact around the bucket or slash to the cup and finish above the rim.

Matthews is the second Florida product to commit to the Stags this year joining six-foot-seven power forward Adam Jones.  The duo joins Jamel Fields, a six-foot-two guard from Albany who is currently in his post-graduate season at Cheshire Academy.
