New England Recruiting Report
Huskies go to St. Louis to land their latest commitment for the 2010 class.
A week after Northeastern landed six-foot-seven forward Alex Bates from Maryland, the Huskies have picked up another verbal commitment from six-foot-ten center Ryan Pierson.
Pierson is currently a senior at Christian Brothers High School in St. Louis, Missouri and runs with Team Ramey Basketball on the AAU circuit. He is an inside out big man who should be a good fit in head coach Bill Coen’s flex system with his ability to score on the block or face the basket from the perimeter and make jump shots.
Pierson is a widely regarded prospect with good upside and was given a rating of 87 out of 100 by ESPN’s Scouts Inc.
