New England Recruiting Report

Maine star has change of heart shortly after committing to the University of Vermont.

Yesterday we told you that Keegan Hyland made a verbal commitment to the University of Vermont.  Thursday morning came news that although Hyland did in fact commit to the Catamounts, he had a change of heart very shortly thereafter and de-committed and is reportedly now leaning towards attending prep school next season.

Hyland is heading into his senior season at South Portland High School and plays with MBR on the AAU circuit.  He had accumulated as many as 20 division I scholarship offers in the last year and will no doubt be recruited by colleges and prep schools alike for the rest of his senior season.
